The Vice President of Conservation Science will provide oversight, management, and coordination of ICF’s Baraboo-based project staff, including work plans, measurable objectives, specific budgets, staff development, and performance reviews. S/he will ensure the integration of ICF’s expertise and experience with our geographic programs in Asia, Africa, and North America. Educator will join our education team to deliver public and youth programming on-site and as outreach. Programming ranges from roving interpretation, 20 minute informational sessions, hour long classes and some field interpretation. This position requires some handling and feeding of live animals including reptiles, fish, insects and birds. This position serves as the Central Office consultant and coordinator for the department's statewide invasive species rule training and outreach program. The Invasive Species Educator works with UW-Extension agents and specialists, educational consultants, university personnel, other governmental agencies, and department staff to design curricula and prepare training materials. This position is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining training curricula, guidance documents, publications, audio-visual products, Web presentations, and exhibits. This position takes an active role in the development and delivery of interpretive programming and displays for park visitors, school groups, and other interested persons and organizations. The successful candidate will lead the on-site visitor program. S/he will lead the planning and development of new interpretive materials and services and the evaluation and improvement of existing interpretive materials and services. S/he will provide oversight to the visitors program, supervising a diverse group including two full-time staff members, a number of seasonal naturalist interns, occasional international interns, and a large number of volunteers. The Conservation Education Department of the Racine Zoo is dedicated to promoting awareness of conservation issues through engaging, educational, and entertaining zoo experiences. A Conservation Education Interns assist the Conservation Education Department in fulfilling the educational mission of the Zoo. Racine Zoo interns are valuable members of our team. The Bubolz Nature Preserve in Appleton, WI is looking for volunteers who enjoy being outdoors and teaching children. Guide field trips for students grades pre-K to 12th. Topics include, GPS, Maple Syrup, XC Skiing, Snowshoeing, Water, Ponds, Insects, Trees, Rocks, Structures of Life, Sensory Hikes, and many more! Very flexible schedule from Tuesday- Friday. Programs are usually between the hours of 8am and 4pm.
