The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service at Necedah National Wildlife Refuge is seeking an Intern to deliver hands-on, interpretive programs each week and weekends. The intern will also help develop new activities, programs, and check out materials and assist with two or three special events including planning, preparation, marketing, and delivery. You may also have the opportunity to assist other refuge staff, partners, students, and volunteers with any publication development and special needs related to public use within the Refuge’s mission. The DeLano Farms Manager position is a regular, full-time position with responsibilities including, but not limited to, overall management of the DeLano Farms with emphasis on the development of a Community Supported Agricultural (CSA) model. Responsibilities include crop production, planning and management, care of animals, staff supervision, budget management, planning, marketing, procurement, and shareholder relations. The Cloud Forest School is situated on 106 protected acres in one of the world’s most beautiful, diverse and endangered ecosystems – the cloud forest of Monteverde, Costa Rica. Their mission is “to encourage a new generation of ecologically aware, bilingual individuals with the skills and motivation to make environmentally and socially conscious decisions on a local, national and global scale”. Job duties include developing K-11th grade environmental education curriculum in collaboration with other teachers and teaching 7-11th grade environmental science courses based on AAAS environmental science framework.

The position duties include presenting naturalist programs of varying types to visitors and helping to develop new programming.
