The Urban Ecology Center educates and inspires people to understand and value nature as motivation for positive change, neighborhood by neighborhood.
 
Our Environmental Community Centers:
Provide outdoor science education for urban youth.
Protect and use public natural areas, making them safe, accessible and vibrant.
Preserve and enhance these natural areas and their surrounding waters.
Promote community by offering resources that support learning, recreation, stewardship and camaraderie.

The Urban Ecology Center is headquartered in Riverside Park, on the east side of Milwaukee, along the Milwaukee River. We offer programs for all ages at both Riverside Park, and school and summer camps at Washington Park (west side of the city). Conservation Listening Session-Milwaukee
Thursday, Sep 30, 2010 6 PM to 7:30 PM
Urban Ecology Center - Members of a wide range of conservation groups–including local lake associations, sportsmen groups, environmental organizations, farming groups, and more will come to voice their conservation concerns. Please help get the word out by recruiting your members to attend.

Programs: cost varies by program. Admission: free and open to the public.

Features
Neighborhood Environmental Education Project serves local urban schools. Riverside Park facility demonstrates state-of-the-art environmental design. 15 acres of county parkland serves as an outdoor classroom, biological field station and recreation area. Located along the Oak Leaf Bicycle Path.

Accessibility
Facility meets ADA guidelines.
