Using Energy Sustainably in My Community Sticker Design Contest

Provided by: Wisconsin Center for Environmental Education

Calling all pK-6 grade Wisconsin students! We need your help designing stickers to be used by the Wisconsin Green and Healthy Schools program.

Theme: Using Energy Sustainably in My Community

Goal: The goal of this contest is to develop a design that will be printed on stickers to motivate and encourage sustainable use of energy in the home, school, or community.

Participants: Open to all students and student groups (grades pK-6) of Wisconsin public and private schools. Each school may submit as many designs as they’d like, but each student may submit only one design.

Design Criteria: Artwork must be 3.5” by 3.5”, submitted on the Contest Entry Form, and should encourage individuals within Wisconsin to use energy more sustainably. All artwork must be original. Construct a clear design that is easy to see and read on small stickers. Design will be shrunk to 2.5” by 2.5” to fit on stickers. Stickers will be printed in full color. The use of any copyrighted characters/symbols (e.g., Batman™, Nike symbol, company names) will disqualify entries. Computer illustration is allowed only if the student creates the original image. Clipart and Word Art are not allowed.

Eligibility: Each student who submits a design must complete the Entry Form completely. A Release Form must accompany all entries submitted to the state contest. An entry without a fully completed Release Form (signed by both student and parent/guardian) will be ineligible for competition.
